Strawberry Sauce

Sauce Fanatic

1 pound strawberries, tops removed and thickly sliced ⅓ cup granulated sugar 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a medium saucepan combine the strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer 20-23 minutes or until thickened, stir occasionally.

Remove from heat and transfer to a glass jar to cool completely before using.
