White Garlic Sauce

2 tablespoons unsalted butter 4 garlic cloves, minced or pressed 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper ¼ teaspoon salt 1 cup whole milk ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.

Whisk in the flour, pepper, and salt. Cook for 1 minute while whisking.

Slowly add the milk, whisking until well combined. Continue whisking constantly until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes. It should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Whisk in the parmesan and parsley and remove from heat.
