½ cup extra virgin olive oil 4 tablespoons butter ¼ cup fresh lemon juice 1 garlic clove, minced 1 tablespoon minced shallot 1 ½ teaspoons chopped fresh parsley 1 ½ teaspoons chopped fresh basil ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper salt and pepper to taste

Combine oil, butter, lemon juice, garlic, shallot, parsley, basil, and crushed red pepper in a medium saucepan. 

Bring to a boil then simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Toss with freshly cooked pasta.
