In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat.
Add the garlic and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and let stand for 3 minutes.
Serve with sliced bread or pizza.

Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature then transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature then transfer the sauce to a freezer-safe container. Press a piece of plastic wrap flush against the surface and seal the container with a lid. Freeze for up to 3 months.
When you are ready to use the sauce, thaw it overnight in the refrigerator. Or you can defrost the butter in the microwave in 10-second bursts until softened.
