Pink Sauce
Pink sauce is a creamy tomato pasta sauce that is so delicious. It's quick to put together but served over pasta, it tastes like fine dining.

Ingredients

tablespoons
unsalted butter
1
medium yellow onion
minced
3
large garlic cloves
minced

can tomato sauce

teaspoon
dried basil

teaspoon
salt

chicken bouillon cube
crumbled
¼
teaspoon
red chili flakes
1
cup
half and half
½
cup
shredded mozzarella cheese
fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add onion and garlic. Cook while stirring until tender and fragrant, about 3 minutes.
Add tomato sauce, basil, salt, chicken bouillon, and chili flakes. Cook while stirring for about 3 minutes longer.
Stir in half and half. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 7 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in mozzarella.
Immediately toss with freshly cooked pasta and serve with fresh parsley.

Notes
This sauce makes enough to coat 300g of uncooked pasta. We like to use penne but rigatoni is great as well.
Make-ahead tip
Allow the sauce to cool for about 1 hour then transfer it to an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3 days.
To reheat:
Add the sauce to a microwave-safe bowl with a splash of milk or water. Microwave in 60-second intervals until heated through.
