We’ve made a dijon mustard sauce that works well with salmon but today’s maple mustard sauce is best accompanied with pork or chicken.

It reminds us of a honey mustard type of sauce. It’s made with a few pantry ingredients and comes together quickly.

Use it as a marinade or a basting sauce for your next dinner.

Tips For Success

  • This recipe calls for a lot of garlic! Don’t be afraid to use this much. It adds flavor to the sauce.
  • Be sure to use real maple syrup, not pancake syrup. It’s not the same thing.
  • You can make it spicy by adding some crushed red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
  • We prefer to serve this sauce with pork tenderloin, but it’s also great for chicken breasts.
