Jalapeño ranch is nothing more than buttermilk ranch with a hint of spice. It’s so good and completely addicting.

It’s seasoned with jalapeños, parsley, dill, garlic powder, and onion powder in a smooth, creamy base. It can be used for all salads or as a dip or sauce for your favorite proteins.

It will keep in the refrigerator for up to one week and tastes even better after it’s had time to sit.

  • Mayonnaise: Yields a smooth, creamy dressing consistency.
  • Sour cream: Lightens up the mayo so the dressing isn’t heavy.
  • Jalapeños: Adds flavor and spice.
  • Herbs: Parsley and dill give the classic ranch flavor and pair beautifully with the jalapeños.
  • Spices: Garlic powder, onion powder, and salt season the dressing.
  • Buttermilk: I like to thin out the dressing so it’s not so thick.

  1. Toss all the ingredients into the blender or food processor and pulse until smooth and creamy.
  2. Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. The longer it sits, the better it tastes because the flavors have time to meld.

Tips For Success

  • Seed the jalapeños. This will keep the dressing smooth.
  • If you are sensitive to spice, use only 1 pepper instead of 2.
  • Slowly add the buttermilk until you achieve the desired consistency.
