  • Soy sauce: We prefer to use low-sodium soy sauce.
  • Sugar: Regular granulated sugar works great! Brown sugar can also be used.

  1. Add the soy sauce and sugar to a pot.
  2. Bring to a boil and let cook until thickened. You want the consistency to be that of maple syrup.
  3. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
  4. Allow the sauce to cool completely then store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.
